I am not sure how many of you have heard the statement, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.“
Over the years I have been exposed to teachings on the power of words and how words have a creative ability – words can make or break you.
The information we are exposed to, the messages we hear and the books we read can build or destroy. Words are powerful no matter if they are spoken, written, or simply the words we use in our minds.
Positive words bring about positive situations, and negative words bring negative situations into our lives. Don’t talk negatively as it all starts from your mind.
Most times we believe things that are said about us (good or bad). When we accept these words, we endorse their power and ability over us. Most times these words leave us in a serious dilemma. It is therefore very important that we do not accept bad talk – counter negative words with positive words ALWAYS.
It is important to know and understand that your life takes the direction of your words.
How do we counter an unwanted life trajectory?
We make a conscious decision to unlearn bad talk and LEARN TO TALK RIGHT!
The power of words comes into play during the times we define our reality. The words we repeatedly use in our minds to describe ourselves and our identity are some of the most powerful forces in our lives.
You might ask what bad talk is.
Bad talk are statements like;
- Doing business is hard,
- She/he is better at what he does than me
- It is hard to get good clients
- I am stupid – that’s why I failed
These statements will not only leave you questioning your capabilities but will also keep you at the level of an underdog. This is in no way suggesting that someone will not be better than you, what it seeks to communicate is that don’t discredit yourself based on what others are doing.
Beloved compatriots, what you meditate on, what you read, and what you watch matters. Feed your spirit, soul, and body with a substance that will help achieve your GOALS & VISION. Don’t ignore the power of words. This power will play a pivotal role in your life
God said to Joshua: This book of the law shall not depart from out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success.
Start commanding your future with your words, use your mouth to chart the cause of your life – you are a prophet of your own life, speak to your future, speak to that business, and speak to that cash flow….
